ssofficenearme.com is a public directory. No accounts, no logins, no profiles. This policy covers the limited data that passes through the site.
What we collect
Search queries are not logged to user profiles. If you submit the contact form, we record your name, email address, subject, message, IP address, and user agent so we can respond and filter spam. Standard server logs capture IP addresses and request metadata for security monitoring.
How it's used
Collected data is used to operate and improve the directory, respond to contact inquiries, and prevent spam. We do not sell, share, or transfer personal data to third parties except as required by law.
Cookies
One session cookie handles CSRF protection. It expires when your browser closes. No tracking cookies are set by this site.
If Google Analytics is enabled, it collects anonymized data: pages visited, time on site, browser type, and approximate city or region. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Third-party services
Maps on office pages use Leaflet with OpenStreetMap tiles. When a map loads, your IP address is sent to OpenStreetMap tile servers. Get Directions links open Google Maps in a new tab and are governed by Google's privacy policy. Neither service receives SSA benefit information from us.
Data retention
Contact messages and correction requests are retained for operational purposes. Server logs are retained for 90 days, then deleted.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
